Via Crocefisso’s apartment is the result of the renovation project of a flat once used as an office. The transformation therefore has been very intense; the task was to rethink the space so that it could be used again as a house. The apartment has been divided in two areas; the main living area and the private area of the bedrooms. The living has been treated as a big open-space divided in three main spaces; the kitchen, generated by the metal bookshelf placed at the entrance, the living room and the dining room, divided by two passages bordered with two ancient wooden frames. The bookshelf divides the area of the living room from the one of the entrance and of the kitchen, closed within striped glass panels, granting the living an extra source of light. The bedrooms area has kept the old office implant, with the long corridor overlooked by the bedroom doors and wardrobe doors, in order to highlight the more private character of this part of the house.
