The new prototyping space for ISA Seta was created inside a former industrial space. The space is characterised by high shed spans with a maximum height of 8 metres and 5.5 metres under the beams. The project involves dividing the large open space into three areas. The first area, separated from the rest by a large glass wall, is dedicated to product conception and design. The second central area houses the cutting machine, and the third area is divided vertically by a mezzanine floor, where the garments follow the entire production cycle: the sewing phase takes place on the ground floor, after which the garments are placed on a conveyor belt and taken upstairs to be checked.
The mezzanine floor is connected to the ground floor by a circular prefabricated concrete staircase. An anthracite-coloured resin was applied as a finish. All the technical parts were painted white.
The entrance to the space was designed with a long ramp flanked by a planter along its entire length. As a backdrop for the planter, a white-painted brick wall was installed with a lighting composition, a tribute to the flower kiosk in Malmo designed by S. Lewerentz.
