Through the use of reflective materials such as mirrors, metal sheets and black lacquered wood, the space has been articulated as a free composition of elements to support or to hang clothes. As a scenic backdrop for the space, five mirrored and backlit arches were set up. The arches organize the scene and give rhythm to the space in a sequence of hangers and pedestals that alternate in aisles and generate paths. In between are two islands of seats with ottomans and rugs that disrupt the order generated by the arches. The absence of color in the assembled elements grants to the Balmain’s collection to create color combinations highlighted through the use of mirrors and reflecting materials.
